He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine "Kay"; his parents, Matilda Farwell and Wilbert Farwell; and his siblings, Jack (Rita), Theodore, Melvin (Ivy), Clayton (Sadie), Gordon, Percy, Maxwell and Millicent Billard (Romeo).
He is survived by: his close friend Nina Warren; his children, Sharon Pennell (Rick) and Brian Farwell (Julie); his grandchildren, Christopher Pennell (Stephanie), Bradley Pennell (Sabrina), Kaitlin Forster (Keith), Emma Farwell (Matthew), Mary Beth Farwell (Cory) and Andy Horncastle (Britini); and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Allison Pennell, Hannah Pennell, Marcus, Merabelle, Garrett, Kiera Forster, Quinn Leigh, Ezra Gray, Wyatt and Ben Horncastle.
As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Roland's memory to St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church.
