It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Remona Lillian Saunders (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 13, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Stanley and Jane Sheppard; her husband Joseph Saunders; her parents-in-law, Emily and Ronald Saunders; her siblings, Roland Sheppard and Edna Sheppard Ayers; her siblings-in-law, Harry Ayers, Ronald, Albert, Alley Saunders, Alice, Bridgette, Ellen, Cleo and Daisy; and her son-in-law Jim Sweeney.

She is survived by: her children, Marie Sweeney and Joseph Almon (Monique); her grandchildren, Darren, Shelley (Moe), Stephanie (Wayne), Michael, John (Reine) and Robert; her great grandchildren, Emma Rose, Sydney, Danielle, Alexander, Amelie and Arthur; her sister-in-law Charlotte Sheppard; her niece Janie; her great-niece Chrissy (Charles); and also Lily. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Monday from 7-9 pm, VaxPass, Identification and face mask required for entry. The funeral service will be held at Fillatre' Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Tuesday, November 16th at 10:30 am with Father Patry officiating, with interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, VaxPass, Identification and face mask required for entry.
