She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Simmons; her son Paul; her parents, George Rowe and Lillian Rowe; her sisters, Grace (Gerald Betterman) and Shirley; and her daughter-in-law Tana Simmons.
She is survived by: her sons, George (Anne) and Gerry (Elaine); her granddaughters, Elizabeth (Chris) of Alberta, Krista (Michael) of Grand Falls and Catherine (Danny) of Bryant's Cove; her great grandchildren, Clarie, Jack and Grayson; and her niece Michelle Davis.
In lieu of flowers donations in Phyllis's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
