He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Abbott and Effie Abbott; and his siblings, Terrence, Gertrude Garland and Linda Young.

He is survived by: his siblings, Richard, Edwin, Gordon, Donnie, Kenny, Michael, David, Ross, Robert, Winnie Young and Etta Bushey; and his cousins, Maureen, Deborah and Yvonne. He is also survived by friends and greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.
