He was predeceased by: his wife June Daisy Barrett; his parents, William Barrett and Margaret Barrett; and his siblings, Irene Hefford (Jim) and Albert Clyde Barrett (Andy).
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Barrett, Deborah MacKenzie (Paul) and Paul Barrett (Tuyet); his grandsons, Brandon MacKenzie (Brooke), Joshua Barrett and Minh Vuong Toan; his brothers, Wayne Barrett (Estelle) and Terry Barrett (Patsy); his sister-in-law Greta Barrett; and his close friend Jake. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
