She was predeceased by: her husband Lorne Pennell; her parents, Clarence Matthews and Hannah Matthews; and her siblings, Harriet Adderly, Mildred Sheppard, George Matthews and Seward Scott.

She is survived by: her sons, Clarence (Tina), McIvers, Peter (Yolanda) and Cove; her great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Alexia and Lucas; and also, Jonathon (Paula), Stephen, Renee, Chloe (Tyler) and Annie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
