She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore Bennett; her parents, Maurice Gillingham and Maud Gillingham; her parents-in-law, Douglas and Genevieve Bennett; and her siblings, Michael, Ralph, Louise and Eunice.
She is survived by: her children, Genevieve Hobbs (Jim), Ted (Helen), Wayne (Donna), Sean (Robbie-Lynn) and Darryl (Trudy); her grandchildren, Mark, Aaron (Jennifer), Adriana Sacrey (Terry), Alicia Hodder (Bernard), Ashley Norman (Ryan), Ryan (Melissa Evoy), Brady and Tamara Anstey (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Ryan Bennett, Benjamin Hodder, Sophie Norman, Cole Dobbin and Hannah Bennett; and her siblings-in-law, Tony Bennett (Gail), Joan McLeod and Paula Bennett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Most Holy Redeemer Parish (15 Mt Bernard Ave, Corner Brook, NL A2H6K7). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mount Patricia Cemetery North Shore (42 N Shore Hwy, Corner Brook, NL A2H6G1).
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Mary's memory to the Catholic Women's League.
