She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Hardy; her parents, John Jones and Gladys Jones; and her brothers, Eric Jones (Violet) and Lloyd Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Schaufert (Dale), Diane Tavenor (Randy), Darrell Hardy, Derek Hardy and Dawn Hardy; her grandchildren, Nathan Schaufert (Taylor), Natasha Bryden (Bob), Michael Tavenor, Mark Tavenor (Amy), Jesse Hardy and Chelsey Hardy; her great grandchild Benson Schaufert; her siblings, Jean Christopher, Louise McCarthy, Myrtle Haigh (Barry), Gerald Jones (Barb) and Calvin Jones (Betty); and her siblings-in-law, Helen Jones and Oscar Hardy (Cheryl). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Hardy may be made to the St. John The Evangelist Church Fund or to a charity of one's choice.
