With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kevin Joseph McCarthy of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 1, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Ellen Stratton; his parents, George William and Mary McCarthy; his siblings, Gerald (Angela), Charles (Onie), George (Catherine), Kathleen (William Fitzgerald) and Jerry (Marie); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph, Nellie Hayes, Helen Gallant, Betty (John Alden) and Bernice (Aaron Gallant).
He is survived by: his wife Eva McCarthy (Hayes); his children, Kevin (Jo-Anne), Kathleen (Grant Payne) and Sean (Anna-Marie); his son-in-law Rodney Stratton; his grandchildren, Michael Stratton (Stephanie), Sarah Stratton (Nick Brine), David McCarthy (Ashley), Kurt Payne (Sara Larsen), Kyle Payne (Stephanie Corner), Daniel McCarthy (Caitlin Davis), Liam McCarthy (Chantelle MacBurnie) and Emma McCarthy; his great grandchildren, Layla and Tegan Stratton; and his brother-in-law Joe Hayes.
