He was predeceased by: his sister Verna Sandor; and his parents, Cecil Layden and Catherine Layden. He is survived by: his wife Coreina; his daughters, Michelle (Blaine) and Melissa (Steve); his granddaughters, Emma and Cassie; his pets, Willow and Blossom; his siblings, Frank (Brenda), Fred (Wanda), Hayward (Donna), Darrell, Gary (Paulette) and Darlene (Ray); and his close friend Shawn Young. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, and friends.
