He was predeceased by: his daughter Denise; his parents, Cecil Pye and Viola Pye; his parents-in-law, John (Ned) and Roberta Hussey; his nephew Darius; and his nieces, Tammy, Thank and Nurses.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his daughters, Lorelee Porter (Glenn McCarthy) and Charlene Hemsley (Shawn); his grandchildren, Brandon Porter (Tara), Teagan and Tanner Hemsley; his great grandchildren, Jared and Levi Porter; his siblings, Laura Pye (Stewart), Hazel Oldford (Heber), Malcolm Pye (Verna), Christopher Pye (Rita), Philip Pye (Judy) and Anthony Pye (Josephine); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Skeard (Terry) and Yolanda Brake (Brian). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium with a Service of remembrance to be held after Covid restrctions are lifted.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp or the Lion Seeing Eye Dog program, by sending donations to the Curling Lions Club, 215 Petries Street, Corner Brook, NL A2H 3M4.
