John McKay Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John McKay of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mckay (Jack) and Elsie Mckay; his sister Margaret Saulnier; and his fathers-in-law, Clarence Gardiner, Monty Carew and Roy Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Gardiner; his children, Maureen Mckay (Jody), Lisa Greening (John), Jason Mckay, Chris Gardiner, Danny Gardiner, Stephen Gardiner (Hilary), Justin Gardiner (Caroline) and Mark Gardiner (Holly); his grandchildren, Skylor, Chelsea, Brittany, Hailey, Samantha, Tyrese, Cole, Brandon, George and Aria; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Jacob, Stephen and Connor; his siblings, Mary Canning (Rennie), Barbara Bennett (Leo), Linda Spears, Diane Neary, Bruce Mckay and Paulette Belge; his aunt Mary Singleton; his uncle Paddy Mckay; his brother-in-law Reg Saulnier; and his parents-in-law, Mary Gardiner, Kevin Gardiner, Ray Gardiner (Shirley), Theresa Carew and John Gardiner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one's choice.
