Janet Emily (King) Sheppard Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2025, at the age of 85, Janet Emily (King) Sheppard of Corner Brook, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Sheppard; her daughter Elizabeth Raike; her parents, Susan King and Billy King; her brother Gordon King; her son-in-law Robert Osmond (Bob); her parents-in-law, Mabel and Bill Sheppard; and her siblings-in-law, Daisy Watton, Peggy King, Catherine Miller, Gerry Mercer, Duncan Sheppard (Bill), Kenneth Sheppard and Albert Sheppard.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Sheppard, Rosemarie Hoyles (Mark), Lisa Osmond and Beverly Sheppard; her grandchildren, Robert Osmond (Sarah), Christopher Hoyles (Anjelica), Tyler Raike (Bethany), Samantha Allen and Vanessa Decker (Brian); her great grandchildren, Liam Osmond, Phylicia Hoyles, Shakira House and Kingston Decker; her son-in-law Lionel Raike (Eleanor); her siblings, Walter King, William King (Joan) and Evelyn Mercer; and her siblings-in-law, John Sheppard (Pam), Keith Sheppard (Patsy), Tony Sheppard (Sandra), Carol Porter (Glynn), Marilyn Sheppard and Julie Crane.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel (63 Main St N, Deer Lake, NL A8A1X1). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Michael's & All Angels Anglican Church (18 Farm Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A1E3). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Nicholsville Cemetery (4 Farm Rd, Deer Lake, NL A8A2K1).
