He was predeceased by: his wife Muriel Whiteway (Prosper); his children, Charles, James Junior and Ellie; his parents, William Whiteway and Gertrude Whiteway; his parents-in-law, Richard and Bertha Prosper; his siblings, Ellie Cashin (Marty), Jean Hancock (James), Eileen Cottingham (Meade), Rose Crewe (Boyd), Lloyd and William Jack Whiteway; his brothers-in-law, Bill Prosper, Murdock Prosper (Jean), Eric Prosper and Hector Prosper (Eva); his grandson Jonathan Whiteway; and his great grandchild Christopher Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Bernice King (Brian), Gloria LaSaga (David) and John Whiteway; and his siblings, Bernice Kesling of Alabama and John Cashin (Helen).
In Lieu of Flowers, donation can be made in James' memory to Janeway Sick Hospital or the Shriners.
