With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Patrick FitzGerald Sr. (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys; and his parents, Thomas and Mary FitzGerald Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Jim (Wanda), Don (Winnie), Ruth Locke (George), Maureen Murphy (Kevin) and Barbara Callahan (Jerry); his grandchildren, Kathy (Scott), Michael, Jason (Dorian), Danika (Derrick), Deicha (Paul), Ryan, Spencer, Kyle and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Peter, Emma, Sammie, Zarek, Rylan, Isaac, River and Damien; his sister Sheila Estob (Ed); his son-in-law David Ford; his daughter Karen Ford; and his siblings, Marjorie Rosales, Valerie Beales (John) and Thomas FitzGerald Jr.. He is also survived by other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Country Haven Funeral Home (167 Country Rd, Corner Brook, NL A2H4M5).
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Jim's memory to your local SPCA.
