He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Sparkes and Evelyn Jean Sparkes; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Sparkes, Maxwell "Max" Sparkes, Margaret Pretty and Barbara Brake.
He is survived by: his wife Ivy Sparkes (Vokey); his children, Jacqui Brodhagen, LeAnne Cooper (Bill) and Shawn Sparkes (Maxine); his grandchildren, Marcus Cooper (Taylor), Shawna Brodhagen, Keisha Brodhagen, Mikayla Sparkes (Jordan) and Abigail Sparkes (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Zendaya Balon and Carter Cooper; his sister Betty Seymour (Randy); his sisters-in-law, Daphne Sparkes and Imelda Sparkes; and his friend Francis Brake. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the NL West SPCA.
