He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, Charles Petten and Mary Petten; his stepmother Gert Petten; his sister Ina Bishop (Reg); his great grandchild Saylor Petten; and his nephew Tony Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Charles (Lori), Jeffrey (Janice), Terry (Louise) and Mike (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Petten (Stephanie), Nikki Leroy (Brian), Meghan Petten (Devin), Jonathan Petten (Skyler), David Dove, Sarah Dove (John), Stephanie Boland (John), Andrew Boland and Abigail Power-Petten. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a number of relatives and friends.
