He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Gillingham and Sarah Gillingham; his siblings, Ruby and Barry; his uncle Maxwell; and his father-in-law Garland.

He is survived by: his wife Yvonne; his children, Tracy (Richard) and Rodney (Jody); his grandchildren, Nickolas, Alexa, Emma and Erin; his brother Wilmore (Loretta); his mother-in-law Mary; his brothers-in-law, Vernon (Joan) and Gary; his cousin Gloria (David); and his close friends, Wade and Donna Bungay.
