George Frederick Mugford Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2023, at the age of 94, George Frederick Mugford (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mugford and Rebecca Mugford (Nee Fowler); his wife Mary; his son Georgie; his sister Jessie (late Tom); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Walsh (late Rosaleen), Joseph Walsh (late Sheila), Edmund Walsh (late Marie) and Ron Walsh (late Rella).
He is survived by: his children, Rita Callahan (Pat), Marie Murphy, Laura Caines (Jake), Gerry Mugford, Terence Mugford (Anne) and Michael Mugford; his niece Sammy Walsh; his siblings-in-law, Francis Walsh (late Geraldine), Ted Walsh, Margaret McCormack (late Tom) and Cora Walsh (late Gerald); his grandchildren, Kacey, Terimarie, Stephen, Danielle, Jamie, Nicole, Francesco, Mikayla and Junior; and his pet Blacky. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit at WRH are graciously accepted.
