It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Jean Batstone of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Batstone; her daughter Gertrude Batstone; her siblings, Harry, William (Beatrice), George (Rosena), Edmund (Margaret), Nathaniel Warford (Sarah Ann) and Lillian Palmer (Reginald); her parents, James Warford and Martha Warford; and her parents-in-law, George Batstone, Joseph Batstone (Marilyn), James Batstone, Dorothy Hounsell (Chesley), Kathleen Locke (Roy), Kenneth and Selena Batstone.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Denise Horne (Marshall) and Jeffrey Boland (Catherine); her great grandchildren, Arya, Audrey and Charles Boland; her brother Almore Warford (Marie); her sisters-in-law, Angela and Margaret Batstone; her daughter Gertie; and her grandson Jeff. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
