He was predeceased by: his son Ashley; his parents, James Penney and Suzannah Penney; and his sisters, Madeline Stuckless (Martin), Eva Prosper (Hector), Valma Funk (Oliver), Rose Squires (Roy), Inez Osmond (Manson) and Verna Penney.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Penney (Baker); his children, Barbara Butt (Harry) and Beverley Smith (Gerry); his siblings, Robert and Isabelle Goobie; his grandchildren, Christopher, Randy, Neil Brian and Courtney; and his great grandchildren, Emmanuelle, Penelope, Addison, Samuel, William, Gregory and Graham.
