Dorothy Piercey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2021, at the age of 101, Dorothy Piercey of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wilson Piercey (Bill); her parents, John Hardy and Esther Jane Hardy; her sons, Ronald Piercey and John Piercey; her great grandchild Samantha Piercey; her daughter-in-law Madonna Piercey; and her siblings, Roderick Hardy, Alice Kaiser and Sarah Pender.
She is survived by: her children, Noreen Murphy (Gerry), Lloyd Piercey (Linda) and Winston Piercey; her grandchildren, Stephen Murphy (Krista Fudge), Steady Brook, Sean Murphy (Tina Delaney), Janice Murphy (Dennis Shelley), Lisa Piercey, Lloyd Piercey, Jennifer Piercey, Angela Falcao (Paul) of Whitby, ON, Carla Piercey, Paradise, Tammy Piercey, Todd Piercey (Joanne) and Terry Piercey; her sisters, Sylvia Wagg, Rose Blanche, Marina Mauger, Port and Basques; and her daughter-in-law Mavis Piercey.
Following Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 -9 pm to a maximum of 30 people in the building at a time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation to be directed to the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility will be graciously accepted.
