He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Bursey; his children, Sandra Oxford (Lorne), Byron Bursey (Connie) and Darren Bursey (Sandra); his grandchildren, Ryan (Alex), Leanne (Justin), Nicole (Christopher), Candice (Tyler), Lindsay Bursey, Megan Bursey and Alison Bursey; his great grandchildren, Abigail Fisher, Anna Taylor and Ty Bursey-Cassell; and his siblings, Milton Bursey (Marlene), Joyce Earle and Glenda Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, memorial donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
