He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gallant and Margaret Gallant; his siblings, Sedella (Lanny North), Joe Gallant and Ken Gallant; his parents-in-law, Margaret and Jim McDonald; and his brothers-in-law, Ed McDonald, Bern McDonald, Leo McDonald, Frank Dower, Ted Bale and Denny Callahan.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his son Joseph (Stacey); his sister Patsy (John Gillis); and his parents-in-law, Elsie Gallant, Juanita Dower, Belle LeBlanc (Gilbert), Judy Bale, Pauline Allen (Don), Arlene McDonald, Carrie McDonald, Mike McDonald (Pat) and Ken McDonald (Mary). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to W.M.R.H Foundation (Palliative) or the Cancer Society.
