Chesley was predeceased by: son Jeffrey Hancock; parents, Jeffrey Hancock and Dora Hancock; siblings, Calvin Hancock and Netia Hancock; brothers-in-law, Almond Roberts and Gord Flynn; and niece Cindy Saulter.

Chesley is survived by: brother-in-law Jacques Beaudoin; son Jason (Tanya); granddaughter Gracie (Natasha); siblings, Violet, Celesta, Roxanne (Dave), Leonard (Marie), Manuel, Ross (Barb), Edmond (Carmelle), Ovila (Albertine) and Donat (ReJeanne); and also, Cornelius, Imelda Jones and Clara. Chesley is also survived by many nieces, and nephews and a large circle of friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cancer Society and The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
