It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Ernest Childs (Corner Brook, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Llewellyn Childs and Mary Jane Childs; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Ella Sheppard; his sister Jessie Bailey; his brothers-in-law, Wilson Kendall, Russell Park, Barry Garland and Joseph Hynes; and his nephew Grant Sheppard.

He is survived by: his wife Madonna Childs; his children, Jason (Jennifer) and Joanne Sheppard (Roger); his grandchildren, Joshua (Hailey), Alison (Mitchell), Zachary (Riley) and Randy (Laura); his siblings, Melissa Kendall, Winston Childs (Dorothy), Louise Park, Austin Childs (Lena), Irene Cake (George), Mildred Sheppard (Austin), Faye Childs, Llewellyn Childs (Marlaine), Ruth Sheppard (Angus), Rudy Sheppard (Paul) and Nancy Price (Kirby); his sister-in-law Margaret Hynes; and his friend Junior Strickland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
