He was predeceased by: his parents, James Toope and Jane Toope (Gibbons) of Pond Cove; his parents-in-law, Eudora and Rapheal Caines; his siblings, James Toope (Yvonne) and Minnie Mitchelmore (Wyman); and his nephews, Roy Toope Jr. and Wayne Mitchelmore.
He is survived by: his siblings, Roy (Rhoda), Reg (Kathy), Rachel (Stephen), Judy (Tom), Eileen (Sterling), Beulah (Joe), Dorcas (Dan) and Jackie (Derek); his wife Florence Caines (Choix) of Port; his children, Joanne and Andrew (Susan); his sister-in-law Peggy Caines (Dion); and his close friend Cliff Caines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
