She was predeceased by: her significant other Robert; her son Nicky; her parents, James Coates and Alma Coates; her parents-in-law, Violet and Harold Thistle; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Pope.
She is survived by: her foster children, Charles Renouf (Brenda), Judy Hillier, George Griffin, Edward Brown and Arnie Riche; her brother David Coates (Renee); her siblings-in-law, Gail Thistle (Rick), Sylvia Upshall (Rick), Daphne Manning (Gerard) and Douglas Thistle (Elaine); her nephew Peter Coates (Melissa); and her friend Gail Collins. She is also survived by many special friends and companions.
