He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Goobie and William Goobie; his siblings, Verlie Goobie and Ira; and his siblings-in-law, Ella Goobie, Ruth Goobie and Harry Vey.
He is survived by: his wife Trudy; his children, Angie Dean (Rob) and Mark Goobie; his grandchildren, Spencer Dean, Rachel Dean, Gracie Goobie and Elizabeth Goobie; and his siblings, Roy (Jessie), Melvin (Geraldine), Dennis (Linda), Richard (Patsy) and Evelyn Vey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory gratefully accepted for the United Church Cemetery Fund, Queen's Cove.
