He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Fowlow; his parents, William Ellen and Mary Ellen; his siblings, Mildred (Allan Cooper), Raymond, Harvey, Gordon, Alonzo and Jim; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Rex.

He is survived by: his friend Sybil Curtis; his sister Audrey Madeline Rex; his sister-in-law Francis Fowlow; his children, Winston Fowlow (Sandra) and Susan Monks (Winston); his grandchildren, Jennifer Monks, Eric Watson, Amy Cochrane (Brendan), Robyn Monks, Cory Fowlow (Emily), Jeremy Fowlow (Felicia) and Chelsea Fowlow (Ricardo Schultz Martins); and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Colby, Gracie Ann, Sadie, Parker, Madelyn, Ellie and Quinn.
