With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leona Olive LeFrense (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leona Olive left this world on December 5, 2024 at the age of 102, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Ambrose LeFrense; her daughters, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Carter and Shirley Durnford; her grandson Steven Fast; and her sons-in-law, Doug Fast and Eric Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Mabel Smith (Weyman), Calvin LeFrense (Linda), Raymond LeFrense (Stella) and Magaida Fast; and her son-in-law John Durnford. She is also survived by great great grandchildren and a large circle of extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Hillside Haven Cemetery.
Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Leona's memory can be made to Holy Spirit Anglican Church or to a charity of ones choice.
