With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karl Alexander Reid (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), born in St John's, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 16, 2021 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reid and Kathleen Reid; his wife Julia Reid; his sisters, Carmel Sweeney (Barry), Joan Street (Alex) and Barbara Harlick; his parents-in-law, John and Margaret Doucette; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Doucette, Roger Gale, Stan Farrell, Alex Street, Barry Sweeney and Regina Farrell.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Reid (Paul) of Halifax, NS, Karla Pierre (Curt) of Trinidad and Don (Jennifer) of Yellowknife, NT.; his grandchildren, Devyn, Paul, Julia and Joshua; his stepgrandchildren, Jamille and Khadeisha; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Doucette (Ann) of Tompkins, NL, Bernice Bennett (Joe) of Centreville, NS, Patricia Gale of Doyles, NL, Mary Dwyer (Cyril) of Cobourg, ON, Kay Doucette (Jerry) of Joplin, Missouri, Angela LeRiche (Edward) of Orangeville, ON and Ann Marie Foley (Rob) of Centreville, NS.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karl's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
