With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Benedict Smith (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Smith and Annie Smith; his father-in-law Timothy; and his siblings, Baby Geraldine Smith, Margret Sheppard, Marie Downey, Joseph Smith, Gerard Smith, Vincent Smith and Allan Smith.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Isobelle Brennan; his daughters, Chris Quigley (Brian) of Petawawa Ont, Elizabeth Smith (Peter) of Pasadena, NL and Kimberly Skinner (Troy) of Ottawa Ont; his siblings, Bridget Downey, Jean Henry (Eddie), Rita MacIssac, Matilda Ryan and Jerome Smith (Petrina); and his pets, Doc and Maggie. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
