Edna Bateman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Bateman (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), who passed away on July 22, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Keeping and Ellen Keeping; her husband Clyde; her father-in-law Ernest; her sons, Keith Bateman and Kevin Bateman; her brothers, Reginal Keeping and John Chaulk; her son-in-law Thomas Gillis; and her siblings-in-law, Angus Keeping, Minter Caines, Allen Bateman (Hattie), Alexander Bateman (Annie) and Naomi Feaver (Ted).

She is survived by: her children, Wade Bateman (Helen) of Port, Marilyn Gillis of St. John, Millie Dunford (Conrad) of Burgeo, NL, Kathy Cutler (Thomas) of Burgeo, NL and Maxine Bateman (Daniel Dominix) of Beaver Bank, NS.; her sisters, Ethel Keeping of Burnt Islands, NL, Hilda Caines of Port, Ruth Buffett (Carl) of Port and Helen Graham (Cyrus) of Lower Sackville, NS; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Keeping of Burnt Islands, NL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edna can be made to a charity of one's choice.
