He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Gerald Carter. He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Maud Carter; his son Matthew Lomond; his stepdaughter Keisha Lynn Lomond; his brothers, Max (Cindy), Brian (Debbie) and Reg; and his nephews, Jordan, Aaron, Morgan (Paige), Tony (Genevieve), Zakk, Anthony, Ocean and Sequoyah. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
