It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Myrtle Pope (Channel-Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 17, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Short and Alice Short (Ward Pope); her son Bruce Pope; her parents-in-law, William and Daisy Pope; her siblings, William, Jerome, Walter and Dorothy Kettle (Harold); and her brothers-in-law, Sam Anderson (Renee), Max Anderson (Mary), Charlie and Roy Brown.
She is survived by: her son Brian Pope (Susan); her daughter-in-law Lorna Pope (Boyce Howell); her grandchildren, Jeremy Pope, Pamela McNeil (Jeremy) and Jamie Pope (Tanya); her great grandchildren, Nolan McNeil, Blake Pope and Brooke Pope; her siblings, Vera Tapp (Clayton), Margaret, Bernice Jesso (Doug), Frances Piercey, Ada Brown, Patsy King (Doug), Basil Short (Mardene Sipple) and Gary Short (Eddie); and her sister-in-law Laura Short. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
