It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allister Clarence Jones in Carters Cove, Newfoundland, born in Bridgeport, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Jones and May Jones; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Elsie Farr; and his siblings, George and Alma.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen, Lorna (Edward), Christopher (Trudy) and Jeanette (Terry); his grandchildren, Michelle, Amy, Joshua, Mitchell and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Owen and Brody; his siblings, Mary (Terry) and Frazer; his brothers-in-law, Harley (Ena) and Ewen (Irene); and his wife Jean Farr.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New World Island Funeral Home (177 To The Isles Rd, Summerford, NL A0G 4E0). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New World Island East Central United Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the NWI East Central United Church.
