He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bobbi Ackerman (Leroy) and Brad King (Roxanne); his close friend Jade Hillier; his sons, Bentley and Forrest Ackerman; his grandparents, Barry Ackerman, Wallace, Patricia King and Elaine Ackerman; and his aunts, Suzanne King, Sandi Ackerman (Kirk) and Leah Ackerman.
