He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, Wilfred Sullivan and Gertrude Sullivan; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Blanche Oates; his sister Patricia Connors; his siblings-in-law, Gwen Oates and John Davenport; and his children, Andrea, Shane and Heather Gauthier (Chris).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Harper, Brock and Kolton; his siblings, Bruce Sullivan (Annemarie), Sheila Sullivan, Helen Sullivan, Dolores Perry (Fred), Jean Davenport, Wilf Sullivan and Nikki Christian (John); and his brother-in-law Carl Oates.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland.
