He is survived by: his wife Maria; his sons, Joshua and Neil; his stepdaughter Cindy Lloyd (Trevor); his sister Sandra Nixon (Robert) of St. John's; his siblings-in-law, Andrew of Gull Island, Ed (Diana) of Winnipeg, John of St. John's, Patricia Crawford of Carbonear, Peggy O'Brien (Phillip) of Holyrood and Alicia Dill (Marty) of Ottawa; his niece Charlene Rogers (Richard); his brother Wayne; his parents-in-law, Michael and Dorothy Dwyer; his niece Stacy Crawford; and his brother-in-law Bill Crawford.
A reception was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Slade's Funeral Home (31 Powell Dr, Carbonear, NL A1Y 1A5). A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Edward Slade Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
