She was predeceased by: her parents, William Soper and Wesley Soper; her brother David Soper; her sister-in-law Lynda Soper; her nephew Jim Oates; and her parents-in-law, Jacob and Mary Cotter.

She is survived by: her husband Rex; her children, Heather Powell (Roger), Robert (Carol Ann) and Michael (Jenny); her grandchildren, Nathan Cotter (Lindsay), Stephen Powell (Erin) and Rachael Powell; her brothers, Ernest Soper (Nancy) and Bill Soper (Jane); her sister-in-law Elsa Barr (Max); and her nieces and nephews, Mark, Matthew, June, Lisa, Katie and Natalie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Noel's Funeral Home (106 Water St, Carbonear, NL A1Y1A9). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany United Church (2 Church St, Carbonear, NL A1Y1A9).
