He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude; his parents, Thomas and Hester; and his daughter Barbara (Richie). He is survived by: his close friend Georgina; his sons, Jay (Stephanie) and Georgie (Denise); his grandchildren, Curtis (Angel), Conway and Barbara Mae; his brother Kevin (Christine); his stepbrother Bern (Calvin); and his sister Mary (Philip).
