It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Reginald Sparkes in Carbonear, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, John Sparkes and Jennie Sparkes; and his brother Terrance Sparkes. He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Martin and Mary Brophy (Molly); his siblings-in-law, David, Marguerite and Linda Bruce; his siblings, Jordan (Eileen), Cyril (Viola), Cecil (Pearl), Rod (Rose), Melvin (Winnie), Derm (Judy), Russell, Sue (Fred), Bernice (Dean), Mary (Terry) and Phyllis (Bern); his brother-in-law Pat Bruce; and his close friends, Tony Bennett, Emmie Youden and Rod Bartlett.
