It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Cavelle Taverner (Cape Ray, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Amelia Cavelle leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Amelia Cavelle may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her son Cody Short; her mother Joan Taverner (Meade); her brother Terry Taverner (Tracey); her nieces, Hayley, Danni and Harper; her cousin Sherry Taverner; her friend Jeanette Lomond; her caregivers, Jacklyn Stansbury and Marilyn Pearce; and her aunt Ivy Taverner. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and so many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. John Evangelist Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Church.
