It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Frederick Janes (Cape Ray, Newfoundland), who passed away on December 10, 2018, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Albert Janes; his wife Rita Janes; his brothers, George, Claude, Kevin and Raymond; his grandson Jonathan Janes; his parent-in-law Winifred; and his brother-in-law William Carter.
He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Janes; his children, Patsy Fudge (Leo), Sandy Janes (Janice) of Cape Ray, NL and Mike Janes (Trina Osmond) of Cape Ray, NL; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Shardi, Josh, Melissa and Nicholas; his great grandchild Leila; his siblings, Harold Janes (Joyce), Austin Janes (Evelyn), Gertie Rose (Calvin) of Port and Doris Harris (Hurbert) of Gander, NL; and his sisters-in-law, Olive Janes, Nina Janes and Basques. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
