It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miriam Jean Penney (Cannings Cove, Newfoundland), who passed away on December 12, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Chatman and Minnie Chatman; her husband Warrick Penney; her children, Rowena, Darius and John; her close friend George Elliott; and her siblings, Alma (Arthur Butt), Annie (Mosses Perry), Norman Chatman and Charles Chatman.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis (Rose), Edward (Marylou), Arthur and Glenda (Joe Vaters); her stepson Doug Elliott; her grandchildren, Dwayne Penney, Corey Penney (Candace), Glenn Penney (Julie), Terri-Lynn Keats (Shawn), Charles Penney (Tiffany) and Joshua Penney (Holly); her great grandchildren, Christian Keats, Sarah Keats, Keeley Penney and Easton Penney; and her sister-in-law Stella Chatman.

In her memory donations may be made to your choice of the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society.
