He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Simmonds and Emily Simmonds; his brothers, Robert (Bobby) and William (Billie); his brother-in-law John Ricketts; his niece Veita Matchem; and his nephew Dennis Ricketts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Iris, Wallace (Naomi), Mary (Edward), Rance and Ann (Jack); and his friend Louise Hancock. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
