Retta Elliott Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Retta Elliott (Burlington, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 20, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Elliott; her parents, Sidney Young and Florence Young; her siblings, Francis and Marion; and her siblings-in-law, Allan Bowers, William Keough, Elmore Mills, Allan Kelley, Phyllis Young, Hazel Butt (Eugene), Max Snelgrove, Chesley Elliott (Olive), Phyllis Thistle (Roy), Ross Elliott, Wilbert Elliott and Ernie Elliott.

She is survived by: her sons, David (Nola), AB, Bryan (Tamara), Stephen (Andrea) and Shawn (Heather); her grandchildren, Melanie Whalen (Marc), Joshua Elliott (Michelle), Benjamin Elliott, Sydney Elliott, Natasha Young (Eric), Trevor Elliott (Jasmine) and Luke Elliott (Hope); her great grandchildren, William, Matthew, Gracie Whalen, Avery, Camryn Elliott and Lily Wright; her siblings, Evelyn Bowers, Thelma Keough, Willis Young (Audrey), Roger Young (Velma), Stewart Young (Bernice) and Dulcie Kelley; and her sisters-in-law, Myrtle Elliott, Juanita Elliott and Vida Elliott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation took place at Riverside United Church, Burlington, NL on Monday, November 23rd, 2020 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM following specific guidelines related to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Retta's memory to the Riverside United Cemetery Fund, Burlington, NL.
