It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene M. Hickey (Burin, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Hickey; her parents, Archibald (Mary Myles) and George (Janet Lavhey); her siblings, Bertha Lavhey, Janet Lavhey, George Lavhey, Roger Lavhey and Carl Lavhey; and her sister-in-law Marjorie Lavhey.
She is survived by: her children, Glen Hickey (Michelle) of Brooks, AB, Dwayne Hickey (Jennifer) of St. John's, Carl Hickey (Allison) of Brooks, AB, Pricilla Monahan (Jamie) of Woodstock, ON and Patti Lynn Hickey (Shane) of Brooks, AB; her grandchildren, Kayla (Joey), Brian, Cassandra (Jack), Owen, Colby, Alyssa, Kirea and Kade; her great grandchildren, Carter, Brianna, Peyton and Elijah; her siblings, Mary Bolt (Lloyd) of Marystown, Juanita Hynes (Leonard) of Medicine Hat, AB, Leonard Lavhey (Jenny) of Terrenceville and Kevin Lavhey of Terrenceville; her sisters-in-law, Carrie Lavhey of Garnish and Cindy Lavhey of Spaniards Bay; and her close friends, Sarah Kearley, Beatrice Evans, Whillimena Evans, Regina Bolt and Vivian Byrnes.
