He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Elsie Clarke; his parents, Leonard Inkpen and Reta Inkpen; his stepmother Grace Inkpen; his wife Ada; his brothers, Russell and Roy; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Appleby, Valetta and Shirley Inkpen; and his nephew Jason Inkpen.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Inkpen (Crystal), Darren Inkpen, Craig Inkpen, Alan Inkpen (Ruby), Alison Kirby (Ahren) and Ashley Clarke (Brad); his siblings, Susan (Alvin), Ella (Kevin), Arnold, Bill and Fraser (Elaine); his sisters-in-law, Sharon, Dorothy and Linda; and his close friend Esther.
